Why I created Resiliently

A Personal Note From Founder Samantha Elle

I've spent a lot of my life trying to understand myself.

Why my mind works the way it does, why I feel things so deeply, why certain experiences have stayed with me long after they happened, and why finding my way back to myself has sometimes felt like getting to know a completely different person.

And somewhere along the way, that curiosity became something much bigger than I ever expected.

It became Resiliently.

It started with wanting to understand myself

Hello, I'm Samantha Elle.

I'm an Australian influencer, certified life coach, psychology and counselling student, a mum of two, and the founder of Resiliently.

I was diagnosed with ADHD in my early thirties, and I've spent years navigating my own mental health, healing from difficult experiences, attending therapy and learning more about the ways our minds and bodies respond to the things we've lived through.

I've always been someone who wants to understand the why behind things.

Why we develop certain patterns. Why we respond the way we do. Why some of us spend years being everything everyone else needs, only to realise we haven't spent much time getting to know ourselves.

The more I learned, the more fascinated I became.

I completed my life coaching certification and decided to continue studying psychology and counselling, alongside further learning about ADHD.

Not because I had everything figured out, but because I wanted to keep asking questions.

And I still do.

The space I wished existed between therapy sessions

Therapy has been an important part of my life for years.

But something I kept noticing was how much life happened between appointments.

I'd leave a session with a new understanding of myself, something to reflect on, or a little piece of the puzzle that suddenly made sense.

And then I'd go home.

Back to the responsibilities, the noise, the everyday moments, the big feelings and the thoughts that didn't always wait politely for my next appointment.

I wanted somewhere I could put those thoughts.

Somewhere I could journal, listen to something gentle, learn a little more about myself or simply take a few minutes to check in with how I was feeling.

And I wanted it all in one place.

Something I could return to in the middle of an ordinary day, without needing to turn looking after myself into another enormous project.

That little idea stayed with me.

I wanted other women to have access to what I was learning, too

As I continued studying and sharing my experiences online, I began thinking about how many women were trying to understand themselves while navigating lives that already asked so much of them.

Women discovering their ADHD in adulthood.

Women learning to recognise patterns they'd carried for years.

Women navigating motherhood, relationships, identity changes, burnout, healing or simply the strange experience of realising they'd become disconnected from themselves.

And women who were curious about their minds, their emotions and their own personal growth, even when life was going beautifully.

I knew how valuable learning about myself had been, and I wanted to find a way to share some of that knowledge in an accessible, approachable way.

Not everyone has the time, money or desire to enrol in a course just to explore why they feel the way they do.

And while an app could never replace the individual care and support of a qualified mental health professional, I believed there was room for something gentle alongside it.

A place for reflection, everyday self-care and learning.

That's where Resiliently began to take shape.

Why I called it Resiliently

I've thought a lot about resilience over the years.

For a long time, I associated being resilient with how much I could endure. How quickly I could pick myself back up, how much I could carry, and how well I could keep going when life became difficult.

But my understanding of resilience has changed.

These days, I'm much more interested in what happens when we give ourselves permission to slow down, listen to what we need, ask for support and make choices that feel kinder to the person we're becoming.

I wanted Resiliently to reflect that.

A place where strength and softness could exist together.

Where looking after yourself didn't have to be something you earned after finishing everything else.

And where personal growth could be something you explored with curiosity, rather than another standard you had to live up to.

A little more than a meditation app

As I started creating Resiliently, I realised I wanted it to be somewhere women could return to for different reasons on different days.

Some days, you might want to listen to a guided meditation because your mind feels busy.

Other days, you might want to write everything that's been sitting in your head, explore a lesson about yourself, or spend a few minutes with a gentle breathing practice.

And some days, you might simply want to read your daily Deep Thought and carry those words with you.

That's why Resiliently brings together guided meditations, visualisations, soothing soundscapes, journaling, daily affirmations, breathing practices and opportunities to learn.

You can choose how you'd love to feel, explore the different collections, or simply wander until something speaks to you.

There's no perfect routine to follow.

I wanted it to feel like a space that could meet you in the middle of your actual life.

The women who have found their way here

One of the loveliest parts of sharing my life online has been connecting with women who recognise little pieces of themselves in my stories.

For years, I've shared my deep thoughts about ADHD, mental health, identity, healing, motherhood and the beautifully complicated experience of being human.

And I've learned that when we're willing to speak about the things we've experienced, we often discover just how many other women have been quietly carrying something similar.

I think that's part of what made me want to create Resiliently, too.

I wanted to take that feeling of being understood and create somewhere women could spend a little more time understanding themselves.

A space that feels personal, welcoming and accessible.

And one that can continue growing alongside the women who use it.

I'm still learning, too

I think this is something I want to be really clear about.

I'm not writing this from the other side of some perfectly completed healing journey.

I'm still learning about myself, still studying, still changing my mind about things, and still discovering new ways of moving through life.

I don't believe there's a final version of ourselves that we eventually arrive at and never need to question again.

We grow, our circumstances change, we discover new interests, and different parts of ourselves ask for attention at different times.

Resiliently is growing alongside that understanding.

And I hope it always will.

A little place to come home to yourself

If you've found your way to Resiliently, I'm really glad you're here.

Whether you're navigating a difficult season, getting to know yourself after years of putting everyone else first, exploring your personal growth, or simply wanting a few more gentle moments in your everyday life, I hope you find something here that feels meaningful to you.

You can begin with a three-minute meditation, a journal prompt, a daily affirmation, or whatever you're drawn to.

Take what you need, explore at your own pace, and come back whenever you like.

You're welcome exactly as you are.

With love,
